The Science of Urea
Why Different Urea Strengths Matter
It's Not Just About Urea Percentage
While urea is the active ingredient that breaks down thick skin and attracts moisture, the percentage alone doesn't determine effectiveness. What matters is the complete formulation.
After treating thousands of patients, Dr. Morrell discovered the secret: it's not just what you put in, it's getting the BALANCE right.
The Three-Part System
1. UREA (9%, 25%, 30%)
| Strength | How It Works |
|---|---|
| 9% UREA | Breaks down rough, thick skin (like a gentle eraser). |
| 25% UREA | Pulls moisture into your feet (like a magnet for water). |
| 30% UREA | Higher strength used for severe dryness, thick callus, and stubborn cracked heels. |
2. MOISTURISING OILS
Macadamia Oil, Peppermint Oil, Menthol, Tea Tree Oil
- Replace lost oils between skin cells
- Create an optimal environment for humectants to work
- Help the formula penetrate deep into thick skin
- Prevent greasy feeling by balancing the oil ratio
3. OCCLUSIVES
(e.g. Coco Butter)
Occlusives lock moisture into skin cells and tissue, helping the skin repair and preventing moisture loss.
The Restorate Difference
Most foot creams get the ratio wrong, either too much oil (greasy with poor penetration) or not enough (skin dries out quickly).
Our proprietary blend achieves the perfect balance: thick enough to repair, but absorbs completely without residue.
Why Three Different Strengths
9% Intensive Balm
Optimised for daily use and prevention with moisturising shea butter and macadamia oil. Provides gentle exfoliation with long-lasting hydration.
25% Spray
Higher strength in a fast-absorbing oil-free formula. Packed with five moisture magnets: glycerine, panthenol, sodium PCA, aloe vera, and amino acids.
30% Revive
Maximum concentration designed for severe cases. Intensive oils help penetrate thick callused skin where ordinary creams fail.
